Happy autumn-is-in-the-air, dear poets and writers! An events update, from River River Books!

We wanted to let you know that we’ll be at Punch Bucket Lit, September 19-20, in Asheville, NC! We’ll have our new fall titles—Encounters for the Living and the Dead by Jameela F. Dallis and Field Notes by E.G. Cunningham—with us, and editor Han will be on a Queer Poetics panel with the poets Evelyn Berry and Kay E. Bancroft, Saturday afternoon, 3-4:45pm. Please come say hello!

THE SAME WEEKEND! If you are local to the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, we hope you can join us and Jameela F. Dallis on September 21, 6pm, at Delafia wine bar, in celebration of the arrival of Jameela’s debut, Encounters for the Living and the Dead! Book signing to follow reading, on what will be a very special night. Chef Phoebe Lawless will be in the vicinity around 5pm with a seasonal pop-up; we do hope to see you there! Bring a friend! We can’t wait for this party!

Later that week, Thursday, September 25, Jameela and River River Books editor Han VanderHart will be reading with local poet Erin L. Miller at So & So Books in Raleigh, NC! 7pm. We hope to see you for this wonderful evening of poetry.

That’s all for September—Han is hard at work packing and shipping preorders of both fall titles, and if you are in Durham, those orders of Encounters are shipping first to have in time for Jameela’s launch party.

In October, River River will be at Lit Youngstown, as will our author LAUREN CAMP, as a featured presenter! We hope to see you there, Ohio!

Thanks so much, as always, for supporting independent poetry presses. It means the world.
